[Back to the Actor Page]

Well, this is ironic.

I wasn't actually planning to put any information about the actors on this site. At all.

In fact, I used to have a joke on the previous page saying I was trying to 'lure the actors in' by implying through the title that I already had behind-the-scenes information about them (which I obviously don't have. Gross). Lame joke, and that's why it's gone now, but the fact remains that I don't know 'em, don't wanna, I'm not entitled to know anything, and I haven't even watched the real behind-the-scenes videos, 'cause I don't want to break the illusion that some of them aren't honestly from fake-Ancient Ireland.

Idk. Maybe some of them are. But for others...

Vincent Walsh's IMBd credit for Degrassi High

... tell me you're Canadian without telling me you're Canadian, amirite?

(please don't tell me he's a habs fan. fml - see, that's why i can't afford to know anything about these people.)

(Also holy shit, this guy had like fifty billion credits before he joined the show (which is why I can safely assume he's French. Toronto pretty much only does commericals, and I don't think they invented Vancouver yet). So okay, that explains the quality of the acting we got uwu 💖 )

But as you'll know from exploring the rest of this place, I've been gravedigging through the internet to find all those ancient fan sites from yester-year. And those sites had information about the actors. Allegedly. I cannot confirm this shit. 1999 and 2000 might've been well before today's modern clout-chasing, but I've watched Perfect Blue enough to know you can't trust anything online.

Doesn't mean I can't make comments though rofl

So here's my disclaimer for this:

I'm gonna react to these old sites as if they were real, but I truly do not care whether they are. Unless one of the actors voluntarily comes out and says, "Yep it's legit," assume everything is some weird-ass, early-internet Real Person Fanfiction fibbery. That's especially true if one of them also says, "What the fuck is all this fibbery," 'cause I don't want anyone to be like, "oh but we thought it was real u_u". It isn't. Outside the strict confines of me reacting to it like it is.

Leave these people alone. It takes one creeper to ruin everything for everybody; don't be that creeper.

The Newsletters

These are the Dead Sea Scrolls of the fandom, istg 👀 Anyway, let's discuss that Mystic Knights convention

The Epilogue

When you're finished reading about the newsletters, here's a bit more context from the fan club President on what happened. It was written afterwards, which made it a perfect bow for tying up the questions I still had; namely, "How were you even talking to these people...?"

Btw, shout-out to this line: "Vincent Walsh is... unique." What does that mean, Lissia. LISSIA, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN.

The Interviews

The fan club's President said she got to talk with some of the actors. :3 I maintain that my interview questions are better uwu, but hers win if the actors actually answered.

Not every actor got interviewed, but the ones that did seem to be those expected to attend the Mystic Knights 2000 convention. (And I'm just gonna put the links here - do we really need a separate page for everything? Here. They're here. Look at 'em. Scroll down.)

  • Lochlann O'Mearain - After reading those newsletters and counting the numbers of words in the "Rohan and Lissia" series, this is exactly the type of interview I expected to see 💖 Have fun, girl, go live the dream 💖 Also JESUS CHRIST, THEY HUNG THEM UPSIDE-DOWN FOR FOUR HOURS IN THE FIRST EPISODE?! I mean - ALLEGEDLY.
  • Also shout-out to this exchange: "Do ever miss Mystic Knights? I mean, the filming and all." "Yeah, I do some. But ya know, ya have to move on with things and that's what I'm doing." (Me in 2025: You're not my real dad.)

  • Vincent Walsh - "Have you had a chance to see any of the MK sites online?" "No." GOOD. You can break your streak for this but then YOU LEAVE AGAIN.

  • Gerry O'Brien - An absolute power move to say his birthday and specifically not include the year. I love him. He was such a good villain. He said, "Unfortunately no" about seeing any of the sites that were online - so here you go, Gerry: I hope you google your name again someday and this pops up uwu

  • Ben Palmer - I can't find a working link u_u

  • Ned Dennehy - No dice there either u_u
