Links Around the 'Net

Here's a round-up of all the other sites by fans of the show I've found. I'll start with some round-ups of certain links, then give a tour of the more obscure stuff, and dump the links to the modern fandom at the bottom. So - uh... bby u gotta scroll :P

Remember: I'm also a fan, so if you know about any other sites or have any of your own stuff to share, please tell me! I'll add it to the list. :D

The Round-Ups:

Re. the Webring

From among the sites I have listed below, here's a straight-forward collection of which ones were part of an old webring called, "Cathabad's Chamber."

Re. the Fanfiction

You might be wondering why I didn't put this one first. And the answer to that is

The More Obscure Stuff:

Cavern of the Mystic Knights

The single-greatest fan-site to have ever been made for this show. Straight from June 13, 1999, with character shrines, some fanfic, and rankings for the possible character romances. This is what - ultimately - inspired me to make my own site: I wandered onto it when I was maybe... 13? Younger? And it stuck in my mind for ages afterwards. But I was never able to find it again until an absolute legend on Reddit dug it up on the Wayback Machine. On January 25, 2001, the site got its final update. Good night, sweet princess

Some of the images are broken, but shockingly very few! It really only impacts the relationship rankings, so lemme use my Big Adult Brain to remember what the author gave them:

  • Deirdre and Rohan got (I believe) three and a half hearts.
  • Deirdre and Garrett got four hearts.
  • Deirdre and Angus got one heart (it might've been half a heart, actually).
  • Deirdre and Ivar got five hearts.
  • I'll make my own rankings eventually, but I'm still just delighted someone had that idea in the first place. What an absolutely charming site, and a wonderful blast from the past. This is OG fan-creation; they don't make it that anymore. So consider this my step towards bringing a bit of that vibe back.

Rachel, wherever you are, I hope you're still having fun, and I liked the Arabian Knights fic you wrote. ^_^ I hope you-in-1999 would've vibed with my site too.

(hey i should read her Tommy/Kimberly stuff someday too! i literally only found about it right now. damn - ships that pass in the night, amirite?)

Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog Preservation Project

This is the person who made that currently-best-version-of-the-show-available playlist on YouTube. Genuinely my hero, and I love the comments he got from other fans who were delighted to see the show again. There's only one thing I disagree with him about. :P

    Cathabad's Chamber

This is an absolute treasure of a website - truly early 2000s, made on Angelfire, abandoned and allegedly moved to a new site that actually doesn't exist anymore. And you'll see that I've linked to one of the pages in it rather than the main page. That's because the main page's link is broken past the landing page, so you can't actually get to any of the stuff that's still on there. The hyperlinks are the only way to do it. Or you can type in character names and see what you come up with (like for Lugad).

In fact, I'll list what pages I've found. Click to expand! 💖

    Site Stuff:

  • Index
  • Toys
  • Character Bios:

  • Rohan
  • Angus
  • Ivar
  • Deirdre
  • Garrett
  • Maeve
  • Torc (url is spelled with a 'q')
  • Fanfic:

  • Cathbad
  • Mider
  • Lugad

  • I'm not sure what the best way of archiving this thing is. It's on Angelfire, so it feels like it's on borrowed time, but I don't want to upload i onto this site and come across as if I'm stealing it. I do have a copy saved though, just in case it's ever taken down later!

Update from like six months later, in April 2025:

I've had a beautiful breakthrough! When you go to the site I just linked above, the original Cathabad's Chamber, you get told to go to "http://members.xoom.com/mearain/MysticKnights/MK.html" if you go its main page and then try clicking on something else. I could never find a copy of that site, so I just assumed everything was lost forever.

    BEHOLD:

    Cathabad's Chamber - PART. TWO.

We're back to using the Internet Archive, which is totally fine! And what's wild is that I finally made a connection between this site and another one I have listed below: Mystic Knights Fanfiction Archive! The creator of this Cathabad's Chamber site, when you look at that sweet fire graphic in the bottom right and also the url that Part One was trying to direct people to, is "mearain." That's the same owner of the Fanfiction Archive! Which means that the next piece of the puzzle to find all the other Cathabad Chamber sites might be to look for the Mearain's Fan Fiction Webring now! :D THAT'S SO EXCITING!!

Click to expand for more of my thoughts! 💖

As for what this site is, other than just 'beautiful' (in terms of content; the site itself is plain but still quite nice): I'm a glutton who's been served an absolute feast.

  • Character summaries and facts about the cast!
  • They're pretty damn well done! They've finally pushed me to make a new page where I'll give my own commentary on what someone else wrote. :D

  • Episode summaries!
  • With a period-accurate reminder that we didn't always have reruns on demand! (wow a home release would've helped a bunch of people huh)

This also has links to images of the toys, but unfortunately those weren't archived. GrnRnger Toy Guide below has you covered, though. :)

  • Fanworks!
  • We're talking guilds, fan art (wasn't archived u_u), narrated music videos (which - holy shit - ARE archived??! Not all, but so many!), fucking NEWSLETTERS, where they were APPARENTLY organizing some sort of Mystic Knights CONVENTION, and apparently at least Vincent Walsh and Ben Palmer were confirmed to attend OMFGGGGGGGGGGGG HOLY SHIT, I AM GONNA HAVE TO POST MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS EVENTUALLY AREN'T I, MY HEAD IS EXPLODING (I can't confirm these are real but what if, WHAT IFFFF), RPGs... somehow, and dead links to message boards anD OTHER WEBSITES??!!

    Heavy breathing cat meme.

I don't want to say, "I need to lie down," but - like...

I wasn't expecting all this. Especially not the newsletters. Especially not links to other websites I might actually be able to find mirrors for one day.

  • There's also -

  • Kitten with watery eyes

    you guys

  • There's also the Cathabad's Chamber webring sign-up form

  • I found it

    It's real

I'm writing this out live as I check each of the links and I just found it

I'm gonna add it to the page I have above about this webring's round-up. Idk why this became my mission, but I'm so happy I've made progress on it somehow. The fandom's not gone; it just needed a gravedigger, and I'm the woman with a shovel.

fuck - the newsletters said vincent walsh got married >:( fine. i was only ten when it happened so I can't be too mad. my ten-year-old self is pretty pissed though.

    WHOAP - HOLD ON

    Heavy breathing cat meme.

I am looking at the webring page. And what it's telling me is: THERE ARE EVEN OTHER WEBRINGS!

how the hell am i gonna archive all this

    Toy reviews from 1999!

Another absolute delight! :D A treasure trove of information about the action figures, with links, details, and even prices. Genuinely a blast from the past! And even though this main page wasn't updated since 1999, there's another page (a Miscellaneous Gallery) that seems to have been updated in January 2024. That's a good sign for it sticking around!

    GrnRnger Toy Guide

It's not an in-depth about what the toys are like, but it does give the full list of toys, prices, pictures of the boxes (I see what the previous site meant about Ivar getting a vase on a stick... and also their expected release dates.

Which I find pretty interesting uwu

'Cause I can't help notice how Angus has a completely ready-to-go Battle Fury figure, set to have been released in Spring 1999, but come Fall 1999 - oh wow, look at that, who's this Lightning Bolt Liam guy, and suddenly Angus isn't theeeere.

And it just has me wondering... uwu

Click to expand for more of my thoughts! 💖

"What the fuck did you do, Saban Entertainment?"

That's not a 'we no longer think Angus fits the show's direction' change. That's a 'fuck they figured out they can try asking for shit, we gotta kill this, quick move the plotline with lugad up' back-pedalling type of course correction.

You fumbled him. I'm glad you didn't get your stupid second season. And then you decide, "Oh we can just have a regular mace instead of a chain one that nobody wants to tell the actor how to use - but we're gonna give it to Garrett. tee-hee."

    Articulating 'The level of disrespect.'

Anyway. It's fine. We saw already Angus get robbed in Episode 25 and we somehow endured that too.

    Henshin Grid

This guy's had his blog for a while, and it's awesome! This is the link to his posts labelled for the show, and there's one post in particular that mentioned a Power Rangers panel from 2012:

"I asked Scott Page-Pagter about Mystic Knights second season and he said he got to travel to Ireland. He told the actors to come to his house when they visit the US. He regretted it because most of them came to crash at his house. So he was with Lisa Dwan (Deirdre) when they were told "Oh did you know we were cancelled?" And it was awkward with her there as they both didn't know. He said they really didn't have any plans for the second season yet. He knew they were mulling it over. He thinks it was cancelled for low toy sales. He seemed to not be aware that the budget was used for Lost Galaxy. I couldn't ask more because time was running out at the panel." (source)

    T-T What a rollercoaster.

And also lmao thank you for supporting the cast, Scott, ily. That's a good boss, and it's bad luck that it worked out so well that Lisa Dwan was there when the news broke :( At least they weren't alone? Strength in numbers?

Side note, but also, what the hell, Bandai - "Fire Master Rohan"? "Deep Sea Ivar"? "Earth Grounded Garrett"? "Lightning Bolt Liam"? a) where's Deirdre, b) who came up with these names, c) me @ 'earth grounded garrett': You will never be him, and d) who the hell doesn't put a date on their documents? Come on, Bandai! Get it together!

    Pazsaz Entertainment Network

I don't really know what this is, but it's got three summaries of three episodes written: Dragon's Fury, King's Bride, and Friends for Life (which is one of my favourite episodes, so I'm really happy about that.) But it also has a list of all the episodes and their original air dates, and also spells it as 'Cathabad' - like the Cathabad's Chamber fansite did. I'm kinda tempted to go with that spelling, despite everyone today saying it's 'Cathbad,' but I'm so committed to 'Cathbad' now that I'm just gonna shrug unless I get proof from somewhere else.

    Mystic Knights Fan Fiction Archive

This one's cool for a couple of reasons. One, it boasts it has the largest archive of fanfics for the show. And it's kinda right! It's got fifty fics hosted, which is absolutely phenomenal! Kudos to everyone who wrote something - I haven't read them all, mostly just skimmed through to uhhhh hunt for Angus-centric fics, but they all have such charm and passion and fun wafting off of them. I'm especially delighted by the one that gives Pyre his own story: it's a multi-chapter fic about other dragons and some stuff they got up to. Genuinely delightful. I miss this part of fandoms; people engaged enough with the story to write more about it, getting hit by the inspiration, and leaving stuff for later fans to enjoy too. And obviously, kudos to Mearin for putting the site together and hosting it. :)

Two, holy shit, it's another linked to the Cathabad's Chamber webring! If you click around, you'll get to this page, which has a direct link to the main page of Cathabad's Chamber site I linked above! It's also got its own webring ("Mearain's Fan Fiction Webring"), but I haven't come across any other websites linked to it yet. Maybe someday! So as the third CC webring site I've found to date, I'm just gonna make this separate page to list them as I find them. :D

Update from May 2025: Holy SHIT, I found the original webring form! And the banner pics! THERE WERE TWO PICTURES?! :D

Third, who the hell is "Goibniu"? Was that ever a character? One of the other Tir Na Nog fairies, maybe? Literally never heard that name in my life.

Update from a couple of weeks later, in April 2025:

In 2001 or so, and I think at the same-ish time that the Cathabad's Chamber site moved (since the same person hosted both of them), this site also moved to a new link. :)

    Mearain's Fan Fiction Universe

Unfortunately, not all the Mystic Knights fics were saved. :( But a lot of them were the same as the ones in the link above, which is still alive. Wow, somebody should probably archive those, huh? Somebody. (Note from May 2025: I've made myself a local copy of the site just in case the real one goes down.)

Especially because the site was taken down by August 2001. :(

(Also I'm genuinely sad the pictures weren't archived, because it turns out she was a seamstress. The links still work, but unfortunately the pictures aren't there. Damn.)

    Lady Lissia's Mystical Palace

Not much on this one at first. But Lissia is a main character in some of the Cathabad's Chamber Part Two stuff. In that "she was the President of the Fan Site." So I'm including this in her honour. o7

It's hard to find anything, but there's this My Thanks page she also apparently had, which I don't quite know how I got to. I would be a bad archeologist. At least I'd be having fun, though.

Last - oof - a perfect time capsule for early 2000s web design, as beautiful in its sincerity as it is painful on the eyes: Her Thoughts. :3 This is a real treasure - 'cause it's got a little bio for her, too! Her real name's Deneen, she loves Rohan and Angus the most (EXCELLENT CHOICE) and she is ALSO SWAYED BY THEIR FRIENDSHIP - GIRL, WE WOULD'VE BEEN FUCKIN' BESTIES!

Lissia, if you ever find this, go read my Rarely Asked Questions. I understand you. Especially the part where we're both like, "hahah ok this is a kids' show for kids, we're gonna be normal about that right?" (But we don't have to be. I hope you published your book, btw).

She's also got a dragon, which isn't archived, but is there in spirit. :3 And she's got - I think - the outline for her fanfic she promised on the Her Thoughts page.

    The Three Musketeers of Ireland

This was another page Lissia created that answered so many of my questions about the interviews she claimed to have had with the Lochlann O'Mearain, Vincent Walsh, and Ben Palmer. I'm not saying 'claimed' to be snarky! The page is - uh... actually pretty convincing. But I have no proof of any of it, so to be safe, I'm gonna stick with my "assume all of this is fiction" disclaimer. It's all from one source, y'know?

But it's super cool to see her explain how she got in touch with them for the convention at all. Also the environmental storytelling of her writing, "BEN PALMER II IN HIS ROLE AS GARRETT, MYSTIC KNIGHT OF FOREST, ON THE MYSTIC KNIGHTS OF TIR-NA-NOG," and "VINCENT WALSH AS ANGUS, MYSTIC KNIGHT OF EARTH" but just "LOCHLANN OMEARAIN" is perfect. I know the signs of someone who started giggling too much to write the rest when I see it. :3

I don't know when this was made, but it was definitely after the convention got cancelled, because she talks about how much harder it was than she expected. :( That sucks, Lissia. But I stand by everything I said about her being far and away the biggest winner out of it, despite all the stress she was absolutely under.

    Princess Deirdre's Chamber

This fan site was by Sarah, who was apparently 15 when she made this (and before she would've learned to hey maybe not put that on the internet)! And since this is from all the way back in 1999, I would've been nine years old at the time, and... I think still too young to use our computer.

Wait - let me check, when did StarCraft come out? 1998? Just to be safe, when did Brood War come out? ... also 1998? Okay, I take it back: I was on the computer, but I don't remember discovering fanfiction until I watched Beyblade, which didn't hit YTV until 2002, and I don't think I started looking around for anything until at least the season where they go to that Blade Breakers school and have to fight Kai on an iceberg or something.

She's got a fan club, which I think is separate from the Cathabad's Chamber one, and which Saban apparently said they couldn't make official "anymore." Which is hilarious wording, 'cause by that point, Saban already knew they weren't renewing the show. Also ahahahahahhaha that's so much sadder with the "My Thanks" site - which literally has a message from Lissia to Sarah saying, "Do not worry sarah, we WILL get the fan club official, I pronise!" AHAHHAHAHAAH - like one dying soldier to another in a trench! I love it!

Sadly, it looks like she disbanded the fan club by January 2002. So our friendship wasn't meant to be. u_u

Click to expand and read about the other stuff on her site! 💖

I don't know why it took so long for me to find her other pages, but she's got short Character Bios, which line up pretty well with what's in the Cathabad's Chamber Part Two site. Not sure which came first.

She's got links to fanfics too, but most of them don't work, and I feel like they're already available on the Mystic Knights Fan Fiction Archive anyway. It's kinda wild! It's not like I take ArchiveOfOurOwn or Fanfiction.net or whatever for granted, but I guess I didn't appreciate that without those centralized archives, everyone had to host duplicate copies on their own pages. Neat!

Last, I found this page about her RPG! Okay, so, apparently, back in Ye Olden Days, what they called "RPG" is what we would just call "roleplaying" now. When someone says RPG today, my mind goes to table-top games. That's not what this is. :P But she's got some OCs listed, and apparently some dedicated RPers for each character! Goddamn these people would've loved Tumblr. This has Character Blog potential written all over it.

For Real Last, she also thought Deirdre and Rohan were the best Mystic Knights out of all five of them. She's wrong, it's Angus, but she's 15, so I won't give her too much guff about it uwu

A Mystical World, A Magical Time (Mystic Knights)

Last updated in May 1999 (and potentially created in October 1998 - that's wild; I created mine in October 2024, and I'm updating this page right now on May 10, 2025), this was a Geocities fansite (the ancestors!) by someone named Heather. As one of my favourite things, it's got the creator's thoughts on some of the episodes that were airing at the time. :) I was too young to remember, but I guess they had a break near the end of the season: they were around episode 40 in May 1999, I guess, but the finale wasn't going to air until September. Is that why I never saw the ending and never knew Lugad existed?! Omg, mystery solved, eh?

That's on top of a show summary, some character summaries, and a BUNCH of links to other fan sites, too! I love that she made one dedicated to Lisa Dwan and Justin Pierre (pages are gone) first. Genuinely love that. Maybe fandom's gotten worse over time or just more openly racist, because it is so beautifully refreshing to see how many people were jumping over Ivar. That's compared to how folks are behaving over the movie Sinners right now, as the most recent example, where we get Michael B Jordan starring twice but the tag on Tumblr's still stuffed with people woobifying the white racist vampire. :/

Click to expand and read about the other stuff on her site! 💖

Fun facts: the person who made this is another Canadian, and she also had a sound gallery (clips are gone). That's awesome, because remember that this was before we could just rewatch everything on demand! If you missed a line, you were stuck waiting for the episode to re-air and "really listening" this time. So someone recording soundbites - I assume with an actual tape recorder and then uploading it somehow - is bad-ass.

AMAZINGLY, part of the guestbook was saved. It's a mix of comments from the MK page but also a separate Young Hercules page (she just used the same guestbook - that's smart), but you're actually gonna see a couple of familiar names in there! Namely our friend Lady Lissia. :D Unfortunately, the link to someone named SilverTurbo's site called "The Kingdom of Kells" is broken, which is a shame, 'cause they said Angus was hot, and therefore they're my best friend forever.

Frustratingly but still cool (I guess), I see an entry from somebody saying on August 11, 1999 that, " I just found out that there will be a new Mystic Knight for season 2! His name is Seanin,MK of Swamp. He was foretold of in the Ancient Scroll and his call is supposed to be "Death below me!" One big diff. though, he's EVIL!" Folks. Not true. Here's why.

But finding this is what made me realize the person who wrote the page I refer to in my explanation was Mearain, our other friend and host of the Cathabad's Chamber webring! Anyway, I don't think she's the one who left the comment in the guestbook, since they don't leave their website and Lady Lissia did, so I'm assuming Mearain would too. But I'm wondering if Mearain's page is the one that sparked this person's comment. This - Heather's - website revealed there was a gap between the May and September episodes (with the September ones covering the finale), and Mearain's page on this guy talks about the Mystic Knight of Swamp being a new, evil Mystic Knight debuting in the fall. You know, when Lugad debuted? Who I'm positive they were prepping to reveal as Liam in Season Two? Maybe that's what it was, and a few wires just got crossed.

Last thing about the guestbook: someone asked if Vincent Walsh was the same guy who played "Patrick" on Degrassi High. God, do you remember the days before we had IMDb and Wikipedia? How did we live? I know we're still asking questions like this in comments, but remember when that was our only option, not us being too lazy to look it up?

Knight Knumerator #1 – Mystic Knights of Tir na Nog

This is recent - it's from April 2022. Someone named zeussical decided (I think on a whim for April Fools) to binge the show and then write a review about it. :P Pretty comprehensive, for somebody who never watched it when it was airing and wasn't super interested in it! I mean, we're mortal enemies for life 'cause HOW DARE YOU @ Angus, but I really enjoyed the comparisons with Power Rangers. It's also just fun seeing what an adult with no nostalgia thinks about the show over twenty years later! (Spoiler: he thought it was okay, and better than he expected.)

    Mystic Knights Online

Allegedly, this is the "first website dedicated to the Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog." The snapshot I have is from December 3rd, 1998, but it refers to the show beginning to air on September 12th - so apparently, this predates the premiere! No idea who made it; it's a fan site, but I'm not sure who'd be enough of a fan of the show before it even came out to make a website for it. But they have a placeholder for a "Fan Fictions", which is - like... way too cool for something corporate, and the email extension is for a hotmail account. Not exactly 'corporate sponsored'. Fan site it is!

Bare bones, all the links are broken, but I'm adding it 'cause I found it and it's the oldest one I've found to date. :)

Potentially also called Mystic Knights Online

Okay - maybe I need to eat my words about the first 'Mystic Knights Online' site I found, since this one was made before the show too: July 12, 1998. Also bare bones because the links are broken, sadly, but it's got a charming description of the show overall, which I think is nice. :)

The reason I'm saying this is 'potentially' also called Mystic Knights Online is that it calls itself that in the snapshot from October 19, 1999. But I don't know if it was made by the same person who made person who made the site above. This one's on Geocities, so maybe the above site was migrated there from SimpleNet. But the email is different (this one uses an Australian domain), and the first one has text worded like it's a group of people running it. This one's more obviously a personal site. On the other hand, here's a completely different website that links to both Mystic Knight Online sites, and says they're 'my list of links to other pages.' But back to the first hand, maybe they just mean it's 'my list of links' the same way I - Tartra - mean this page you're on right now is my list of links. It's hard to say.

It's another victim of people deleting their sites, though. :( People, please leave your stuff up. Those are important time capsules!

    Television City

So - that "completely different site" I mentioned for the Mystic Knights Online site above: that's this links page from this episode. I don't really think the name of it is 'Television City,' but that's the best I've got in terms of titles for this thing right now.

This is from September 16th, 1998, and was created by Mystic Knight00. :) Unfortunately, August 10th, 1999 was the last time it was updated. It was a really charming site! The background's such a distinctive green that I was able to use that to link to the other pages I stumbled on. :D And here are those pages!

  • Links

  • Episodes (just quick, one-liner summaries, which you know were handmade :D)

  • Cast List

  • Character Summaries (which are also really short but - like, super charming somehow? I loved these)

  • Quick Survey

  • A Guestbook (Whoever Pinto is, I love him too. Also, wow, lots of people were starving for some Garrett content! A lot of people. Wow. But Leeann knew what the people really needed: more Angus)
  • What's cool about the guestbook is that there's a comment there from Heather - who you might remember from just a few sites above: A Mystical World, A Magical Time! :D

    Pyre's Palace

    What another absolute treasure!

It looks like this was made by "Static-Pulse". I've got a note saying this was actually the owner of another site I've seen; not sure what that's about, but I'll update it if I manage to jog my memory. I think it might also be part of a different webring called "A Mystic Webring." If I find enough of those, I'll add that to my round-up page alongside the Cathabad's Chamber webring. :)

Sadly, the links are broken in the snapshots I can find, and it doesn't exist after 2001. The front page looks dope as hell, though. I wish I could've seen the rest of it! And fun fact: the Cathabad's Chamber fansite called this page, "Pyre's Palace - Magic in the Making," so that was probably the site's full title. :) Even though I can't see that on the site itself.

    Mystic Knights Armory

This site was so goddamn funny XD

So I don't know when this site was made. There's a separate snapshot from 2012 saying a page was reserved by MKArmory on September 10th, 1998 (when they were 16!), so let's say it was from around then. :3

But the link to this particular page, I'm still giggling. You're gonna go to it, and you're gonna see that it was made for Battle Thunder. :3 You know, that second season we never got? If you're like me, you're then gonna look at this and think the only thing on it is the logo for the season. But then you're gonna wonder, like me, "Why tf is this page so... wide?" And then you're gonna scroll aaaaall the way to right, and that's when you're gonna see this page has a bit of actual text. :D Amazing. Loved it. Unfortunately, they promised to build a better site in return for taking their existing one offline. Bummer, since we sadly never got that site. I'm still pumped, though! The text is short, but I'm weirdly hyped by it? Yes, I am ready for Mystic Knights: Battle Thunder!

Also - quick detail I'll explain under the expansion:

You know the two links I found for this site? On the Battle Thunder one, the email is "PsychoRed5@aol.com."

On the other one that says it was 'reserved', which I assume came first, the email's "MegaRed5@aol.com."

Gif from the show Insecure with a Black woman saying, 'You know what is? Growth.'

Mystic Knight of Tir Na Nog RPG

Created on November 17, 1998, and last updated on June 5th, 2000, this is tiny snippet of a snapshot is all that seems to remain of a Yahoo! clubs forum dedicated to roleplaying Mystic Knights. It sucks that I can't see any of the threads that used to be on here. I can see little previews of what was posted, but only that. :( But! It's given me a whole new avenue of exploration. Maybe I can find some other forums, even though this was the only surviving link on the Cathabad's Chamber site (which is how I found it).

Sneaky Eyes :: The Angus & Deirdre Fanlisting

    Heavy breathing cat meme.

    ok ok ok calm down

I'm putting this here because I don't know if it's still active. Allegedly it is. Someone named Lizzie created it on February 10, 2005, and it was last updated on April 21, 2025, so I submitted an application as a test to see if anybody was home. I got an email confirming I'm in line to be approved by a mod eventually, but I haven't actually been approved. omg i hope they like me 💖💖💖💖💖💖

This is a fanlisting. It's specifically for Angus/Deirdre (and according to the rest of my site, I ship that! :D), and it's just supposed to list people who are also fans of it. There's a page talking about evidence for it, comparing it to Rohan/Deirdre, links to two Angus/Deirdre fanfics that are already on Fanfiction.net - and right now, there are ten people listed as members. I'm especially interested in the three members that have websites listed. One's been taken down, but I found it on the Internet Archive and it's completely unrelated to MKoTNN. I'll look through the other two later. :D

What's amazing is that based on the images on the site, I think this might've been what I thought was the Angus/Deirdre Tumblr blog I mentioned in my Rarely Asked Questions! It would've certainly been active at the right time! :D

    So until I hear back...

    I'm just really excited :3

And honestly so relieved. I like Angus/Deirdre (and obviously my own take on it the most), but I would've had to be so polite if it'd been Garrett/Deirdre.

    Update: HOLY SHIT I'M IN!!

This is the greatest accomplishment a Canadian has made since at least the Wonder Bra :D I'm putting this under the Modern Fandom section now too! If I can figure out how buttons work, this'll easily shoot this past the Canadarm :D YAY YAY YAY

    Tokunation

This is the list of search results for Mystic Knights on the Tokunation site, all from 2014. :) Technically, the site's focused on Power Rangers, but they ended up including some stuff about MKoTNN - what with the shows being cousins and all.

In particular, there was a post talking about the rights for a home release - and hints at what some of the hold-ups were. It's here from July 25, 2014, and it talked about a San Diego Comic Con panel with "Shout Factory," which the company that released the OG source material for Power Rangers onto DVD with full subtitles - as recommended by Saban Brands. Apparently, and sadly, Mystic Knights had some other legal issues involved, so Saban couldn't do the same thing for this show. And since those legal issues seem to be one of the major reasons it hasn't happened yet, here we are. :(

The Fanfiction Universe - Fanfiction Archive

MEARAIN'S BACK - YAY, YAY, YAY!

Fresh from July 2001: This isn't actually our dear friend Mearain's site, but she's the only one who's posted fics under the Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog category (which is what this link will take you to). There are only four stories, and unforunately one's dead - plus a chapter is missing for another one - but they're pretty quick and cool! They follow Torc mostly, as he takes revenge on everybody. :)

    Kimberly dee

I hope everyone knows I lose my mind whenever I find another working site about the show - especially when it's another one from the Cathabad's Chamber webring. I believe Kimberly was one of the VPs in the Cathabad's Chamber fan club, too!

This is a spectacularly informative site. It was made on... June 10, 1999? ... I'm assuming she's American, so let's call it that to be safe. And it's such a relief to find after broken snapshots upon broken snapshots from looking everywhere else! This one's alive! I guess someone better archive it. :')

Anyway, there's stuff about the show, loads of stuff about the actors (even corroborating the interviews that Lady Lissia had with some of the cast), some of her fanfiction from 1999 and 2000 (which might also been saved on Mearain's Mystic Knights Fan Fiction Archive, but Kimberly has her own back-ups here - in case any of Mearain's links are broken), and... actor polls? 👀

Click to expand for some polls: 💖
  • Lochlann O'Mearain - gonna vote "size," that camera loved looking up at him and I agree with that choice uwu (which is so funny 'cause he not even the tallest one)

  • Vincent Walsh - OH SHIT, HE MIGHT NOT BE A HABS FAN??!! :O OKAY I PICK THAT ONE, NOW I HAVE SO MANY DAYDREAM PLOTLINES TO UPDATE, NO I WILL NOT ELABORATE

  • Vincent Walsh #2 - the environmental storytelling of him getting two polls uwu (also i have literally only seen one thing on this list; guess what it is)

  • Ben Palmer - I'm gonna go with "hair," 'cause that was brave. But my second-place option was gonna be "voice." It was shockingly soothing for a character who said nothing but shit I hated :D

  • Justin Pierre - I don't like how these polls are staring into my soul right now. anyway - *votes "British" and then we never speak of this again*

  • Lisa Dwan - I feel like "smile" is the best answer out of the list, but my real favourite part was how fast she could go from "la-la-la friendly" to punching a dragon in its face. Gap Moe, set exclusively to her expressions.

  • There are also a bunch of links to other old fansites, so I've got an excellent adventure awaiting in the Internet Archive!

    MK: A Mystic Dream

According to the site, this was - I think - originally created on June 12, 2003, but: a) the site was totally revamped at one point, so I should try to find a snapshot of it closer to that date, and b) it was most recently updated on November 8, 2005. :) I found it through Livejournal, where their name was Ashes_to_Roses, but according to the site, I think their name is BethieMunk.

Apparently there were going to be polls here too, but I can't actually see them. Hmmm. That's another one I'll have to check the archive for. And another one I'll have to archive.

Also - fanfiction! :D It's so delightful finding more on someone's personal site! I'm just used to it all being consolidated on FF.net or AO3, so it's like stumbling onto a little treasure cave every time.

Lightning Cruiser's Mystick Knights of Tir na Nog Webpage

Created all the way back on September 17, 1998, we've got another site! :D Unfortunately, the snapshots stop at October 1999, and the last update says all the pictures were removed in January 1999. So we're missing what the full thing looked like - which I'm kinda used to by now. There's zero trace of any fanart that I can find anymore. :(

This is part of the Mystic Webring, which I'm finally assumimg was the 'other webring' that was going around. Sorry to put so much favouritism onto the Cathabad's Chamber one, but from everything I can tell, that ended up being the better documented group of fans. :3 ... Case in point, this site removed all of its pictures LMAO

This site has an archived guestbook, but there's not much to read in the entries. What I do find cool is that one of the comments came from someone in Malaysia. In the Sneaky Eyes fanlisting, there were ten members: nine from the US, and one also from Malaysia! I'm guessing that's the fourth country that really got into this show: Malaysia, Canada, the US, and Germany. Kind of an electic mix! ... Also kinda some environmental storytelling that I have yet to run into fans who say they're from Ireland! :P There's one person in this guestbook who says they are, but they're commenting about Power Rangers. So. ROFL.

    Mystic Knights Home Page

    I love the internet.

I don't know when this was made. The snapshot's from November 12, 2002. The content, however, which is very short, is about two glorious things, both of which I went discussed while talking about the beautiful saga of newsletter from the Cathabad's Chamber fansite: the Mystic Knights 2000 convention, and the letter campaign protesting the cancellation of the show. Cross-referencing that with the first newsletter, and we can at least date this to September 1999. :3 It's also possible that this is Lissia's site, since the url is literally "Lissiaomea." That, or it was both her and Mearain, but Mearain gravitates towards dark backgrounds, while Lissia seemed to like more colour. So if this was made by one of them, I think it'd be by Lissia.

$40 USD for a two-day event is great, tbh, since the cast and crew were supposed to be there for the majority of the time. :D I feel like kids would need to be charged less than that, though, unless we all just implicitly understood that this was for - like... the parents. 👀💖

Also, oh, I guess I didn't need to make it weird by trying to guess Lissia's style. Kim Dee literally had this listed on a page of just Lissia's sites. And more than that, there's this other page about a forum (which I very sadly can't find) where I actually saw her email was "lissiaomearian". :P

    Lochlann OMearain

Technically, this was in all caps, but I didn't feel like doing that lol

We have another site by Lissia! :D The snapshot's from November 2001, and it's just telling us about a different site that has the actual bio she wrote for him: which is just - well, 'just' - the interview she had with him (the one I already linked on my behind-the-scenes page.

VERY happily, this also sent me to a link of her fanfic back on the Cathabad's Chamber Part 2 site - stuff I wasn't able to find before! So YAY!! More fanfiction! Damn, I should really do a round-up of this stuff.

    The Modern Fandom:

This is where folks are still kickin'! :D

  • Tumblr (I am all over this tag, but there are other people too! We drift in at different times)
  • Reddit (a tiny sub, but we've gotta start somewhere, right?)
  • Sneaky Eyes :: The Angus & Deirdre Fanlisting (I am so delighted to add this 💖)
  • Fanfiction.net (nearly 60 fics posted right now)
  • Archive of Our Own (less than 15 fics)
  • Fanfiktion.de (nearly 40 fics posted; this is a German site, so hopefully your browser can quickly translate it and/or you can read German!)
  • TVTropes (>:( who took out the one for Heterosexual Life Partners? Put that back)
  • Wikipedia (Summary, characters, episodes, monsters - bland but accurate)
  • Fandom (just skip this one. It sucks. Corporate slop.)
