Once upon a time, in the ancient year of 1999, there did verily exist a webring for this show. Such early internet denizens knew this artefact as... a webring.
And lo, did they refer to it as...
Cathabad's Chamber

What's a webring?
It's kind of a mix between a directory and a bunch of people linking to each other's websites. Basically, everyone who's in the webring gets added to the official index (the directory part) so you can look around and everybody else who's involved. And then you - as someone who's in the webring - put the little badge and menu onto your actual site, that way folks can click through to the next site in the list, go to a random one, go back to the index, and they get to see that you're a part of it. :3
Actually, screw everything I just said. This other site over here gives you the whole-ass history of these, and it means I might've been describing a "web wheel" more than a "web ring" this whole time. Super neat to read, especially as someone who's looking for the digital fossils of this ring in particular!
Is it "webring" or "web ring"?
Idk. Whichever. 'Web ring' makes spellcheck scream at you less, but it's also less cool.
Do you have to get permission to join a webring?
EXCELLENT question, narrative device! God, you're so smart and attractive - it's incredible.
thank you uwu

Anyway, officially, yes, you should get permission. You could slap the badge onto your site and no one can really stop you, but being in the webring is a two-way steet: the badge on your side, and the index on the other side. If you don't have both, you're just sorta... hangin' around with everybody. You're at the party, but you weren't on the guestlist.
The only reason that matters is the passage of time. The Cathabad's Chamber webring is from the 90s. No one maintains it anymore, I can't find mirrors of the original index, and I don't know all the websites that formed the ring. So as much as I'd love to revive an old internet club for an old television show, I can't - and I say this with a straight face - in good conscience slap the badge on my site and say I'm part of it. The other side's not there anymore. :( So we'd have to make a new one.

So what's this page?
I stumbled across another old fansite, and it's the third one I've seen that has the Cathabad's Chamber badge. :D So link by link, I'm gonna try to build the old index back up. If you find any others - whether they're the actual site or an archived mirror - definitely let me know! I'll add it to the list.
These site are already linked on the Other Relics page, and with a more detailed description of what's in them, but this is the streamlined collection - so you don't have to hunt through every other link or read all my other rambling. :) We'll keep this page clean (she says, having added a section for Rarely Asked Questions).
The Webring Sites:
That's its main page, but it's actually easier accessing the whole site by starting on the webring form.
This eventually moved to this page after the main site moved to Mearain's Fan Fiction Universe.
