I don't think i noticed this before!
Mystic Knights post (yes again):
Deirdre actually takes Angus' arm by the end of the show
First episode? She thinks him and Rohan are idiots for offering. Second episode? She still thinks they're both idiots. When they're off to got Rohan's armour and they get out of the rockslide and Rohan offers her his arm? She thinks Rohan's an idiot. There are probably a ton of other instances of this happening: one of them offers Deirdre their arm and she never accepts it. Also worth noting that it's always in a "Let me, a big strong man, lead you through this clearly dangerous area" way, so yeah, she's got a point.
But then near the end, when they're looking for Rohan and they've had to take the Defender out to battle without him, Angus is like, "I AM DONE WITH WALKING." Because he's going to drive back instead.
And he offers his arm to Deirdre and says something like, ">:3 let's go, princess'
And she takes it ðŸ˜ðŸ’–
I mean, I know she's never given him a kiss on the cheek despite how often he's been like "uwu where's mine?" but she hasn't 'allowed' herself to be escorted by anyone.
I know it's also 'cause she directly benefits from not having to walk either, but she could've absolutely said, "🙄 out of the way, nerd" and driven back by herself. But nope - she very happily goes back with him.
Whaaaaat was the show's plaaaaaaan? They have a three-way competition over Deirdre?! Because they made enough of a fuss about:
- Angus and Rohan sorta fighting for her (even though an episode later, they show us those two just fight like that for funsies)
- then they bring in an actual love interest through Garrett and focus just on Garrett and Rohan's competition (with Angus actively backing down to support Rohan)
- then they take Garrett away but Rohan and Angus don't go back to fighting over her
- then Garrett comes back and there's sorta the Garrett vs. Rohan thing again but now no one says shit when Angus openly flirts with her in front of them...???
It's just
I don't
It doesn't make sense
A normal show would've made sure Deirdre and Angus got slapped with a purely platonic brother-and-sister friendship at best. But that is not the relationship they have 😠And it is not one-sided ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ How were they gonna juggle this?!?! Were they actually gonna be like, "Oh Deirdre and Angus were together since episode 12 lol they just didn't tell you 'cause they thought it was obvious"
I have so many questions that I know the writers would never be able to answer, 'cause why in hell would they have thought this hard about it 🤣
