I have ZERO IDEA how I'm gonna find the rest of these damn tapes, but right now I have:

1, 2, 3 (two of them :3), 6, 7, 8 (two of them), 9... and then 16 🤣🤣

 

The duplicates weren't on purpose, but I'm happy I have them as back-up quality. They all look good at a glance, but we won't know what the *actual* quality of them are until I get the digital files back. That's the next stage! 👏🏽

 

Also why is the cover for tape 16 so cute? 😳💖

Part 2

Hey, I just need everyone to know that I've had a long-ass, multi-year AU-kinda head canon where Angus was actually born in an equally kinda-steampunk/Da Vinci Sketchbook version of Italy that existed at the same time as Kells, and just went to Kells as a kid because it's a "thing" his family does - picks a random country, goes there alone, learns a bunch of shit by growing up in that environment, comes back to benefit the family with that freshly outside knowledge - but then he met Rohan and was like, "i'll stay :)" and his family's pretty pissed at him, but he's been going "🖕🏽🖕🏽 come @ me" because he knows they think Ireland is just... idk, it's got too much grass and dirt so they hate it compared to this version of Italy, which is pure beige cobblestone that's pretty in a "We have removed everything green and replaced it with brown girders" sort of way, and a part of me was always like, "Is it weird that I created a bullshit version of Italy to make Angus from it (I am not telling you his 'real' name but he got to 'Angus' because six-year-old Rohan couldn't pronounce it and Angus got sick of him trying to) when there is absolutely nothing related to Italy in this show whatsoever?"

 

And then I found about these VHS tapes.

So.

 

Probably worth reminding myself that I made Angus start off as French 'cause I'm still not entirely convinced that his actor's not, but then I went, "France contributes nothing to society that Italy doesn't already do better, other than that it's physically closer to Ireland," and decided I could pitch myself a suspiciously and technologically advanced Italy waaaaaaaay faster than I'd ever buy it as an AU for medieval France.

Anyway, it's a fun coincidence, and I'm gonna - uh... take this as further reinforcement of my bullshit daydreams that I don't ever mention 👍🏽
