Part 1

What the heck

There are two versions of the Italian hame release: the one I was getting, where they were in those cardboard sleeves with two episodes a tape, and this clamshell one with FOUR episodes on it apparently

 

(it's still in its plastic but the plastic is 25 years old so it's all crumbly lmao)

Anyway, now I have to figure out which flippin' episodes these are.

From the titles, it kinda looks like episode 11 (Dragon's Fury), episode 12 (the first one with Tyrune), episode 13 (Tyrune Returns), and 14 (The Stone Princess)

Sooooo... this would be tapes 6 and 7, per the cardboard sleeve VHS tapes.

 

Which I already have as the cardboard sleeve VHS tapes 😭

 

But considering this thing is still in its plastic and uncrushed, I am VERY optimistic about the video quality! :D

 

Sticks out a bit, though

So anyway, now I have episodes:

  • 2
  • 3 (twice)
  • 5
  • 6
  • 7
  • 6+7 combined in the other VHS
  • 8 (twice)
  • 9
  • 16

 

Which means I still need 4, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 if it exists.


Part 2

NUMBER 4 JUST CAME IN!

Perfect condition, still in plastic, should be top-notch to digitize 💖

 

But now we're in the gruelling slog of patience to find the others:

  • 19

  • 21
  • 22
  • 23
  • 24
  • 25 (maybe)

And what I unfortunately noticed is that while there seem to be several - in plastic! - copies of the early tapes available, I haven't seen hide or hair of the later ones. If Kitty hadn't posted proof of #16, I wouldn't have even started this, because I would've just assumed they ended roughly near the first couple of episodes.

So.
