If you're here, you're a fan of the 1998 to 1999 fantasy/action children's series: Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog!
And since there's literally no other reason for you stopping by, I'm delighted to have a second fan to talk and gush about this thing with me. It's had a special place in my heart since it first aired in Canada, and it's been so deeply stuck in my mind throughout this pandemic that I had to make a website to dump out all my thoughts.
Mostly this site's for having fun and nerding out. It's a show from the late '90s; it's the least serious of any serious business. But that doesn't mean we can't think way too hard about it as a hobby. Hasn't stopped me yet! :D Join in!
If you haven't seen it...
I think it holds up great. Even past my lens of pure nostalgia, I'd happily share it with Millennials who missed it back then, but who loved those other Power Ranger/Big Bad Beetleborg/live-action TMNT series. It's a product of its time in being 50 episodes for one season, and in being a complete story with a satisfying conclusion. There're a couple of hooks for the second season that-never-was, but they're contained enough to not feel like you're missing out without having those answers.
And - hey, if you have kids, maybe they'll like it too! Y'know, being the show's target audience and such.
